General Registration Information
Strathcona Christian Academy Elementary (SCA) offers an Alternative Christian program within Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS). Before a student is admitted to SCA, the following two processes are required to be completed:
A. Register with Elk Island Public Schools
All students who wish to attend SCA must register through Elk Island Public School’s online registration process.
- If you are a new student to EIPS (including Kindergarten), registration for the 2024-25 school year will be open Feb 1, 2024. Please click on the following link to register (open year-round): New Student Registration. SCA must be selected as your desired school of choice.

You will receive a Permission Click link from EIPS in order to complete your re-registration. Instructions will be sent out from EIPS in January, 2024. SCA must be selected as your desired school of choice for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Available spaces at the school are filled according to EIPS Administrative Procedure 305.
B. Attend a School Meet and Greet
Once a spot has been made available to your child(ren), families will be contacted for a meet and greet with the school’s administration. The meet and greet ensures families understand and endorse the school’s mission and vision, and it provides an opportunity for families to ask questions about the school’s programming and philosophy. Only families who attend an meet and greet are considered for admission. Families of all new students accepted into the program will receive a confirmation email after the meet and greet.
Alternative Christian Programming Fees
SCA parents are assessed two types of fees. The first is school fees. More information about school fees can be found here. The second type of fee is the Alternative Christian Programming fee. This fee is payable to the SCA Society and covers the additional costs of offering an Alternative Christian program. More information on these fees can be found here.
